About DLTC

Deaconess Long Term Care (DLTC) is a member of Deaconess Associations, a diversified healthcare corporation which owns and operates 23 long term care facilities, and one acute care facility. In 1992, Deaconess Associations entered the long term care market with the purchase of Cottingham Retirement Community in Cincinnati. Following the formation of Deaconess Long Term Care, other skilled nursing and retirement communities were brought into the Deaconess fold. Today the 17 facilities can be found in three states: Kansas, Missouri and Ohio.

The various levels of care offered at Deaconess Long Term Care facilities include skilled rehabilitation, Alzheimer's and dementia specialty programs, assisted living and independent retirement living. We work within each community to provide care which meets not only the physical needs of our residents, but also their emotional and psychological needs through appropriate activities and socialization. We are interested in serving the entire person. In keeping with that philosophy of care, Deaconess holds resident and patient information in highest regard and protects the confidentiality of all medical records and other personal information.

Our care management philosophy takes the neighborhood environment into consideration. We respect the unique characteristics of each area and work together with that community to care for its members so that they can remain productive members of that society. Through the help of committed staff and caring families, aided by the efforts of the Deaconess Foundation, our facilities strive to uphold the high standards which characterize all Deaconess services.
